Two-dimensional vortex quantum droplets get thick

چکیده

We study two-dimensional (2D) vortex quantum droplets (QDs) trapped by a thicker transverse confinement with a?>1?m. Under this circumstance, the Lee-Huang-Yang (LHY) term should be described its original form in three-dimensional (3D) configuration. Previous studies have demonstrated that stable 2D QDs can supported thin a??1?m. In case, LHY is logarithm. Hence, two kinds of features result different mechanisms QDs. The stabilities and characteristics must re-identified. current system, we find topological charge number up to at least 4. reformulated their density profile, chemical potential threshold norm for supporting according new condition. Unlike under confinement, system strongly repel each other because higher-order repulsion than system. Moreover, elastic inelastic collisions between moving are studied throughout paper. Two-dimensional vortex lattice melting.

We report on a Monte-Carlo study of two-dimensional Ginzburg-Landau superconductors in a magnetic field which finds clear evidence for a firstorder phase transition characterized by broken translational symmetry of the superfluid density. A key aspect of our study is the introduction of a quantity proportional to the Fourier transform of the superfluid density which can be sampled efficiently i...

Correlations in two-dimensional vortex liquids.

We report on a high temperature perturbation expansion study of the superfluid-density spatial correlation function of a Ginzburg-Landau-model superconducting film in a magnetic field. We have derived a closed form which expresses the contribution to the correlation function from each graph of the perturbation theory in terms of the number of Euler paths around appropriate subgraphs. We have en...

Screening in Two Dimensional Nonabelian Vortex Systems

We study charge screening in a system of two dimensional nonabelian vortices, at finite temperature. Such vortices are generated after an SO(3) global symmetry group is spontaneously broken to a discrete subgroup Q8, where the latter is isomorphic to the nonabelian group of quaternions. Poisson-Boltzmann like equations are derived for the various inter-vortex potentials, and the solutions to lo...

Studies of Two-Dimensional Vortex Streets

Periodic vortex streets, often considered as a model for the organized structures observed in the wake of two-dimensional (2D) bluff bodies, are revisited. After the generation of the shear layers the formation of the vortices is mainly an inviscid process. An intrinsic scaling for the formation of vortex streets is found based on the invariants of motion for 2D inviscid flows; namely the kinet...

Experiments on two-dimensional vortex patterns

The evolution of a strongly magnetized electron system is identical to that of an ideal two-dimensional ~2-D! fluid; an electron column is equivalent to a fluid vortex. We have studied the stability of 2-D vortex patterns with electron columns confined in a Malmberg–Penning trap. The following cases are presented: the stability of N vortices arranged in a ring; the stability of N vortices arran...
